Alberto Contador wins at the first race with this bike

Alberto Contador won in the Dauphiné Libéré prologue with his new time trial bike, a model with which he will compete in the upcoming Tour de France, and that he used on this occasion for the first time. “I was a little surprised, but I also knew I would do a good time trial because the course and the distance both were very good for me”, said the leader of the team Astana.

Alberto said he was very pleased with the performance of his bike. “We talked a lot with Specialized engineers to build this bike to make it a little smaller that would better suit my size and I think we succeeded. There is still a hard work to do on it, but I think for the Tour I will have a great time trial bike”. 

This is the second victory of the season for Alberto Contador in a time trial, after the one during Tour of Castilla and León, on which he also won the overall.
